Adjunct Faculty - Nursing Program

The Hunt School of Nursing invites qualified applicants for adjunctfaculty positions within the undergraduate nursing programs. Courses are available in the Traditional Bachelor of Science inNursing (TBSN), Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN),and Davis RN-BSN program options. Course assignments may includecore courses and/or practicum courses based on qualifications. TBSNand ABSN courses are offered face-to-face and online. RN-BSNcourses are offered online. Practicum courses are offered onlinebut may require in-person or virtual site visits.Practicum sitesare located in proximity to the student’s home address. PrimaryResponsibilities:· Teach material from the approved curriculum and up-to-dateclinical practice guidelines· Advise students in matters related to academics, attendance, andprofessional behavior· Maintain and submit student grades and attendance per universitypolicies· Maintain productive contact with students and offer support, asappropriate· Follow the guidelines, policies, and procedures as outlined inthe Faculty Handbook· Collaborate with program faculty and leadership to ensure coursequality· Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructivefeedback· Participate in required adjunct faculty meetings and trainingsessions· Other duties as assignedRequiredQualifications:· Master of Science in Nursing degree· Current unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse inNorth Carolina, a compact state, or be eligible for licensure inNorth Carolina.· Minimum of two years of employment in direct client care as an· Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communicationskills· Preparation in teaching and learning principles for adulteducation, including curriculum development, implementation, andevaluation.
