The Data and Analytics team at SC Johnson is looking to add an Associate Manager Data Engineer to its team to meet the growing need for data and analytics services and products. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with process owners, product owners, business users and data scientists to deliver analytics and new data products projects. This is an onsite role in Racine, WI. Responsibilities • Build scalable and sustainable data pipelines from internal and external sources using Azure, Informatica, SQL and python to load data into data warehouse/data lake in support of new and existing data products. • Work with the project teams to capture business requirements for data and build appropriate data models and pipelines. • Lead discussions and interactions with various business functions to capture analytical requirements, use cases, create prototypes, and iterate on design with a product mindset. • Collaborate with business users, self-service analyst, and data scientist to drive solutioning and POC discussions. • Work with data and solution architects to ensure solution meets enterprise and data standards. • Work with data scientist and ML Operations to deploy data science models in production. • Define and own automation and monitoring frameworks for data pipeline quality and performance. • Partner with Platform engineers and administrators to ensure data pipelines meet performance and scalability requirements. • Define and maintain best practice guidelines for data engineering and modeling. • As the subject matter expert, provide guidance and mentorship on best practices, industry trends and research new capabilities and methodologies. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience or advanced degree with 3+ years of relevant experience. • Military experience considered in lieu of education requirement. • 5+ years of strong demonstrable experience with data integration tools like Azure Data Factory, Informatica, DataBricks etc. • 2+ years of strong understanding of data modeling fundamentals - normalized, dimensional and data vault techniques. • 3+ years of using Advanced SQL knowledge for modifying and transforming data on MPP platforms like Teradata, Microsoft Azure SQL. • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Nice-to-haves • Knowledge of python for data transformation. • Experience with Microsoft Azure platform specifically around Data factory/ Azure Synapse/Azure Databricks and Azure AI and ML Studio. • Knowledge of data virtualization architecture. • Ability to quickly synthesize data from multiple sources and visualize results, skilled at data exploration and data analysis. • Partner and collaborate effectively across multiple team members in multiple time zones. • Ability to ask questions effectively with our business partners that lead to deeper understanding of the business problem. • Able to negotiate and adapt to changing situations and audiences.
