The M&A Associate plays a central role in the execution of buy‑side and sell‑side transactions for middle‑market clients, typically ranging from $25M–$500M in enterprise value. This position combines financial analysis, deal process management, and direct client interaction. The Associate works closely with senior bankers to drive transactions from initial pitch through closing. On the sell-side, Kroll works with family and founder owned businesses, private equity backed companies and subsidiaries of larger corporations to advise them through the sale process. On the buy-side, we guide clients through acquisitions and investments by helping them to structure and negotiate transactions. Day-to-day responsibilities: • Analyze and present financial information and complex strategic issues in a clear, concise and relevant manner to assist and guide decision-makers in corporate finance transactions. • Ensure quality of client deliverables by having a strong attention to detail • Mentor and develop staff - analysts and junior associates. • Individuals will be assigned a wide variety of projects and given as much responsibility as their experience and capabilities permit. Essential traits: • MBA with a minimum of 1 year prior experience in investment banking or Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience at a reputable boutique or regional investment bank with demonstrable M&A execution experience. • Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting. • US Citizenship required due to unique nature of the work • Strong interest on researching the financial service industry. • Ability to make effective decisions by analyzing information and considering priorities. • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • Demonstrated experience with managing of day to day aspects of client relationships and projects • FINRA Series 79 & 63 certification (either current or able to obtain) • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that help represent diverse communities • Experience working with diverse teams • Ability to travel 50-80% of the time, for up to 12 months, is required Your recruiter will be happy to walk you through your U.S.-specific benefits, which include: • Healthcare Coverage: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans. • Time Off and Leave Policies: Generous paid time off (PTO), paid company holidays, generous parental and family leave. • Protective Insurances: Life insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, and accident protection. • Compensation and Rewards: Competitive salary structures, performance-based incentives, and merit-based compensation reviews. • Retirement Plans: 401(k) plans with company matching.
