This person will deliver on our Philosophy to provide a Total Rewards package that cares and supports our employees' needs and continued dedication to Help at Home’s mission and journey to become – the trusted choice as a Partner, Employer, and Provider of Choice providing quality care from caring professions in our clients' homes enabling those we serve to Live Their Best Lives!Job Summary:As the Benefits Specialist Leave Program Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for vendor partner management, creating high performing relationships where our partners are contracted delivering the highest value with Key Performance Indicators/Service Level Agreements for delivering outstanding services and best practices administering, communicating, and maintaining our leave and benefits programs with a service-oriented expertise. In the pursuit of quality, the role will work with internal employees, HR partners, Payroll, IT, HRIS, Legal, Procurement, Consultants, and reports to the Director, Benefits, and isRemote with occasional travel to Chicago and other locations.SupervisoryResponsibilities:• Vendor Management may include technology solutions for benefits health & welfare administration, retirement plan administration, leave management, and or others. Duties/Responsibilities:Health, Welfare, Retirement & Benefits Programs• Benchmark plan offerings and evaluate plan offerings and make data driven recommendations for changes• Lead benefit compliance projects that include plan audits, SPDs, new regulations, notification requirements, HIPAA, ACA, Secures Act 2.0• Improve plan financial performance through negotiations, internal and external audits, eliminating plan leakage• Financial Analysis of programs including billing• Serve as the lead for complicated employee benefit issues.• Leads communication and engagement of various benefit programs including new-hire orientation, open enrollment, ad-hoc initiatives (example: wellness challenges, educational webinars) and distributes materials/information in relation to those programs. • Partners with HR to support employee benefit needs and effectively collaborates with cross functional teams such as Payroll, HR Business Partners, etc. • Identifies, implements, and documents streamlined process improvements and SOPs to support the business• Lead vendor procurement and implementation.• Analyzes and compares vendor products, services, and contracts. • Integrating HRIS and automated enrollment solutions and data files• Performs other related duties as assigned. Disability, Leave of Absence & ADA• Act as the Leave of Absence (LOA) subject matter expert guiding employees and their managers through the leave process with our Leave partner that is responsible for processing leaves• Partner with our external leave vendor, HRBPs, Managers, payroll, IT, and Workday team to create, review, and update processes for efficiency and automation• Vendor Partner Management including analyzing, comparing products, services and contracts• Provide regular analytics and reporting on leaves/trends to the leadership team and internal partners• Consult with managers and talent partners on matters related to the American Disabilities Act and workers compensation as a subject matter expert• Stay up to date on legislation/pending legislation on mandated leaves/ADA & make recommendations and implement approved changes• Create effective communications and processes.• Creates/Communicates leave of absence benefit policies, procedures, and processes with various business partners (i.e., Payroll, HR, employees, Branch Managers, HRIS, third party carriers) to mitigate impacts related to leaves of absence. • Training of internal HAH team on leave and leave processes. Required Skills and Abilities:• A passion for inclusion, diversity, and accessibility, especially as they relate to employee programs and company policies and to delivering the best solutions to the employees and the organization• Experience with financial, technology tools, administration, ERISA, FMLA, health, welfare, and defined contribution 401k plans• A service-oriented approach enhanced with technology and expertise that upholds the commitment to support employees and is driven by the desire to improve processes.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to take a complicated topic and explain it in a simple way. Create executive summaries, business cases, side by side comparisons, and decision support tools. • A high energy and engaged team member, who is excited to lead and support new projects. • Excellent analytical skills to research and evaluate data to tell a compelling story. Strong Excel skills are a must. • Successful track record of working well under pressure, adapting to changing priorities and ability to work successfully in a fast paced, rapidly transforming and results oriented environment.• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion and good judgement. • Project managementEducation andExperience:• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS), preferably in Human Resources or Business Administration. • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with leave, workers compensation, health benefits and retirement plans for larger organization. • Project Management, vendor management, compliance management and ability to lead complex projects.
