This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: EMEA The Role Our client is seeking a Business Development Director to be a critical leader responsible for driving the company's growth by identifying new business opportunities, engaging with potential clients, and strategically overseeing client relationship management. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and negotiation skills, a deep understanding of business development strategies, and a keen interest in Intellectual Property (IP). English proficiency is required, while French language skills and experience in IP are a plus. The Business Development Director will strategically oversee the execution and relationship management across the client acquisition cycle. This is a hands-on role that requires exceptional communication, operational discipline, and the ability to turn market insights into reliable sales execution. The Responsibilities Global Pipeline Development & Sales Execution • Build and execute a targeted acquisition strategy focused on various market segments, including the Top 100 global IP owners and top-tier global IP law firms. • Target medium-sized IP firms and SMEs with active IP portfolios to expand market reach. • Own the full sales cycle for primary software solutions—from initial outreach and lead generation to closing. • Maintain an accurate pipeline with disciplined qualification, forecasting, and conversion metrics. • Ensure consistent and proactive outreach by leveraging existing relationships and expanding the global commercial network. Strategic Partnership & Market Expansion • Develop and structure commercial partnership models to support global expansion. • Evaluate market-specific opportunities and support expansion into new jurisdictions. • Conduct continuous research on IP, legal-tech, and AI trends to identify regional or sector clusters with strong potential. • Provide structured quarterly insights to support the product roadmap and commercial strategy. Enterprise Relationship Management • Act as the senior commercial counterpart for multinational clients adopting the software ecosystem. • Support enterprise onboarding from a business perspective and maintain ongoing high-level engagement. • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across the full product suite. Representation & Networking • Represent the organization at major industry events such as INTA, AIPPI, WIPO, and Web Summit. • Coordinate pre-event outreach to secure high-value meetings. • Drive structured follow-up processes to convert event engagements into qualified opportunities and signed clients. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure precise product positioning and cohesive sales materials. • Ensure commercial commitments are strictly aligned with delivery capabilities. • Contribute to the refinement of pricing models, proposals, and commercial documentation. The Skills & Competencies Experience: • Prior experience working in the MENA region is preferred. • Professional Background: 8–12 years in Business Development or Sales within IP services, Legal-tech, SaaS, or enterprise solutions with at least 2 years in a leadership/director capacity. • Sales Record: Proven track record of opening and closing high-value deals with multinational corporations. • Network: A strong existing network within the global IP community is a significant advantage. • Negotiation: Extensive experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder negotiations. • Strategy: Strong skills in strategic thinking and commercial planning. • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills suitable for executive-level management.
