Position OverviewThe Category Manager for Strategic Software and Services Procurement plays a critical role in sourcing, negotiating, and managing contracts for enterprise-level software and services. This position focuses on three key domains : Revenue Cycle Management, Human Resources, and Marketing solutions. The role requires a strategic thinker who can balance bolthires optimization with quality, compliance, and innovation. The Category Manager will collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure procurement strategies align with organizational objectives and deliver measurable value.This individual will also lead initiatives to improve procurement processes, manage supplier performance, and mitigate risks associated with complex software and service agreements. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement category strategies for Revenue Cycle Management, HR, and Marketing software and services. Conduct market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for bolthires savings and innovation. Establish long-term sourcing plans aligned with organizational goals. Lead end-to-end procurement processes including RFP development, vendor evaluation, and contract negotiation.Ensure competitive bidding and compliance with procurement policies and legal requirements. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure service quality and performance. Monitor vendor compliance with contractual obligations and service-level agreements. Partner with Finance, HR, Marketing, and IT teams to align procurement initiatives with business needs. Facilitate stakeholder engagement to ensure transparency and consensus in sourcing decisions. Identify and mitigate risks related to software licensing, data security, and regulatory compliance.Maintain documentation and audit readiness for all procurement activities. Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce cycle times. Implement best practices in strategic sourcing and supplier performance management. Minimum RequirementDegree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience. EducationBachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (Master’s preferred). Critical Skills7+ years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, with a focus on enterprise software and services.Proven track record in vendor management and complex contract negotiations. Strong understanding of procurement best practices, compliance, and risk management. Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Proficiency in bolthires Office Suite and familiarity with procurement tools and methodologies.
