As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will play an essential role in empowering our customers to take their medications correctly and achieve better overall wellness. #everydaybetteKey job responsibilities● Tasks performed may include billing, data entry, obtaining prescriptions and refills,processing denials, transfers and inbound/outbound calls.● Assist the pharmacist in filling prescription items, as permitted by the state board ofpharmacy● Communicate with patients, providers, pharmacies and insurance companies bytelephone and email to obtain prescriptions, take refill requests and resolve billingissues/questions. ● Enter patients and order information into the pharmacy systems. Establish andmaintain patient profiles, including lists of medications taken by individual patients. ● Process and submit prescription insurance claims for our customers along withresolving insurance problems and patient issues that may result from incorrect orincomplete information, therapy changes and pharmacy or shipping errors.● Keeping patients informed on the status of their prescription or out of pocket costs intheir upcoming shipments. ● Perform account adjustments, method of payment, banking and unbilledreconciliations● Verify insurance data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance prior to billingincluding analyzing and verifying dates of service, quantity, day supply and billedamounts. • Research missing and incomplete information resulting in billing errors and denials• Complete prior authorizations with attention to detail and accuracy, prior to sendingto the prescriber or Cover My Meds• Transfer calls, tickets, claims, or shipments to the pharmacist when necessary• Accept customer and prescription information required to process new and refillprescriptions, including refill authorization from doctor offices where permitted bystate law● Collect, organize, and evaluate patient information, while maintaining confidentialityof all information received.● Receive and transcribe English-language prescriptions sent electronically fromdoctors' offices and external pharmacies. ● Communicate with providers to obtain new written English-language prescriptions orrefill requests and verify that the information is complete and accurate. ● Ensure compliance with all company procedures, federal/state laws, rules andregulations● Increasing knowledge and understanding of commonly prescribed medications andtheir uses. ● Collaborate with other members of the pharmacy team to maintain customersatisfaction• Perform other tasks assigned while working in a fast paced environment• Work a flexible schedule - shifts will possibly start and end outside of normal businesshours including weekendsBasic Qualifications• Active and unrestricted in-State Board of Pharmacy License (This includes Pharmacy Technician, Trainee, and Assistant Licenses).Additional licenses may be required if domicile state differs from state of employment. • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA)• High school or equivalent diploma• 6+ months of experience working with computer and web based tools• Experience multitasking with phone and computer skillsPreferred Qualifications• 1+ year of phone or customer service experience• Excellent communication skills (spoken and written)• Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member• Strong organization skills and attention to detail• Experience navigating and troubleshooting technical issues• 6+ months of experience working in a pharmacy related role• Experience recognizing and identifying patient medications• Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced work environment while consistently meeting standards for productivity and qualitybolthires is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. The base pay for this position ranges from $46,280/year in our lowest geographic market up to $64,168/year in our highest geographic market.Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. bolthires is a total compensation company.
