Chief Technical Officer for a PayTech Company (High-Risk)
A PayTech company operating a high-performance payment processing platform and currently seeking a CTO. By merging deep fintech expertise with a strong understanding of merchant needs, we create forward-thinking solutions that enable businesses to enter and grow in new markets. Our established product helps clients scale effectively while offering access to a broad range of domestic and global payment options. Tech Stack: PHP 8, Nginx, MySQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, GitLabCI, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, GrafanaTools: Slack, Jira, Confluence, OpenVPNKey Responsibilities• Define and execute the company’s technology vision aligned with business objectives.• Lead and expand the engineering function: recruitment, mentoring, and process building. • Guarantee platform scalability, resilience, and security. • Introduce architectural improvements and drive technical innovation. • Partner with product and commercial teams to deliver measurable business outcomes. • Mitigate risks associated with high-load systems and high-risk fintech environments. • Supervise software quality, bolthires/CD flows, monitoring systems, and incident response. Requirements:• 7+ years in software engineering, including 3+ years in a senior leadership role (CTO / Head of Engineering / Tech Director).• Background in fintech or high-risk verticals. • Strong track record in designing and scaling high-load platforms. • Hands-on experience with PHP, Docker/Kubernetes, and AWS. • Proficiency with relational and non-relational databases, caching, and messaging systems (MySQL, Redis, RabbitMQ). • Experience managing bolthires/CD pipelines. • Strategic decision-making skills balancing technical and business needs. • Excellent leadership and people management abilities with a focus on culture. • English: Upper-Intermediate or above.What We OfferHealth & Well-being• Fully covered sick leave;• 20 days of paid vacation;• Medical support package;• Benefits Cafeteria (budget for gym, dental care, psychological services, etc.);• Flexible work format: remote or office;• Corporate presents and events.
