We are seeking a skilled children’s book illustrator to illustrate a fully written picture book for children ages 4–8. The manuscript is approximately 620–650 words and is structured for 12–14 full-color illustrated spreads, with 1–3 short paragraphs per spread. Project Overview: This Hawaiian-themed story features: A small tabletop rooster (hero) A girl gecko (hero) A snail (a gentle, displaced antagonist—not a villain) The illustrations should be expressive, warm, and engaging, full color, supporting a story that emphasizes Hawaiian values such as balance (pono), kindness (aloha), cooperation (kokua), and caring for the land (mālama ʻāina). Cultural sensitivity and age-appropriate storytelling are essential.
