NoPosition PurposeThis new remote position will develop and lead the implementation of a communications strategy for Institutional Diversity and Equity (IDE) that includes a wide variety of compelling content that engages students, faculty, staff, alumni, and external partners, and establishes Dartmouth and IDE as local, national, and international leaders in the diversity, equity, and inclusion space.Dedicated to IDE, the manager is a staff member of the Office of Communications and reports to the associate vice president for communications. Additional InstructionsQuick LinkKey AccountabilitiesDescriptionContent Development (30% effort)· Develops and implements a comprehensive strategic communications plan aligned with the vision of IDE leadership and the priorities of the institution· Develops compelling, on-brand content for newsletters, websites, social media, video, spotlights, infographics, and presentations· Assists in producing a quarterly newsletter for all constituents, and a monthly update email to DEI deans and practitioners.Designs tests (i.e., A/B) to improve performance of messages and newsletters. · In collaboration with IDE leadership, maintains branding of IDE collateral in alignment with Dartmouth visual identity standards and messagingPercentage Of Time 30%DescriptionWebsite Management (30% effort)· Maintains and updates IDE websites, including posting news stories and developing content· Writes engaging website content, including Q&A-style interviews, feature stories, and news items· Conducts content audits, creates site maps, migrates content, and performs other web-related dutiesPercentage Of Time 30%DescriptionEditing (25% effort)· Ensures that all messages, reports, newsletters, websites, and other materials adhere to Dartmouth's brand guidelines and are in IDE's preferred voice· Finds and edits images for inclusion in the newsletter and online· Acts as primary copy editor for IDE using Dartmouth style guidelinesPercentage Of Time 25%DescriptionCoordination and Collaboration (10% effort)· Collaborates with colleagues in IDE to collect and modify content for newsletters· Collaborates with stakeholders to update content on websites, develop more user-friendly architecture, and make all content accessible, including PDFsPercentage Of Time 10%DescriptionAnalysis (5% effort)· Provides monthly reports on newsletter, social media, and website performance that analyze available metrics such as open rates and engagement, among other factors, making recommendations and conducting tests to improve performancePercentage Of Time 5%-- Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness through actions, interactions, and communications with others.-- Performs other duties as assigned.
