Cost Accounting Supervisor

Job Description:• Balchem is looking for a Cost Accounting Supervisor. • Lead close activities for manufacturing sites, cost containment actions and driving accountability to targeted commitments. • Provide strategic financial analysis on Supply Chain impact to the P&L, Balance Sheet, and key performance indicators. • Oversee monthly close activities, including SOX compliance, variance analyses (plant spend, purchase price, production), and balance sheet reconciliations. • Prepare, post, and review journal entries; maintain accurate documentation in financial system.• Support monthly forecasting, with a focus on variance analysis for plant operations. • Contribute to annual budgeting, operational planning, and cost estimation for new products, including overhead structure analysis. • Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Accounting, and Finance teams to support data-driven decision-making. • Supply internal and external audit teams with information and analysis for annual audits and quarterly reviews as required. • Support year-end physical inventories; prepare roll-forwards, as required.• Manage, mentor and develop team members to support performance. • Ad hoc projects as requested by management. Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance• 5-7 years of directly related Finance experience within a manufacturing/supply chain organization• Previous supervisory experience• Experience with standard costing methodologies preferred• Strong Excel Skills, Microsoft office suite, Power BI a plus• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities• Aptitude to succeed in a competitive and deadline-oriented environment• Solid understanding of Information Systems/ERP SystemsBenefits:• Competitive salary package• Equal Opportunity Employer Apply tot his job
