Credit Portfolio Senior Group Manager
About the positionResponsibilities• Review and challenge credit requests, making final decisions on credit extensions for commercial banking customers. • Serve as an Independent Risk Approver for regulatory safety and soundness compliance. • Provide credible challenge for credit proposals and offer solutions for proper credit structures. • Collaborate with various departments to achieve business objectives and manage risk. • Provide approval on a wide range of credit products and types of financings.• Identify trends and risks in the credit portfolio based on underwriting standards and risk appetite. Requirements• Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field and 6 years of experience in credit risk management. • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in the stated fields and 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience. • Experience in challenging, reviewing, and approving credit requests. • Knowledge of credit portfolio and lifecycle management, including underwriting standards and risk rating methodologies.• Experience with commercial lending products and derivatives. • Ability to handle complex credit requests and develop alternative solutions. • Strong risk assessment skills, including problem recognition and structuring solutions for credit-related issues. • Familiarity with regulations, policy, credit processes, and collection strategies applicable to delinquency-managed credit activities.
