Position: Data Governance Product - Data Catalog and Business Metadata AdvisorIdeal candidate profiles to bolthires: strong ability to be a bridge between business and IT. Career progression from a data analyst, regulatory reporting, business Intelligence into dedicated data governance roles. Location:Remote / WFH - We are unsure the extend the following will impact contract resources but March 11th 2024 will mark bolthires / Evernorth's 2nd "return to the office" initiative. To be safe the manager is requesting candidates be located a commutable distance to a bolthires/ Evernorth office (or willing to relocate if In-Office policy is initiated and applied to contractors).Resources may be asked to be in office 1-2 days a week. This team's objectives are to provide vision, technical roadmap and drive product lifecycle for Enterprise Data Governance Products and data process to find, understand and trust our data, maximizing data value and reducing bolthires for our business stakeholders, while reducing company risk and increasing data insight.This role will support Metadata Quality initiatives the team is responding to. This person will be Responsible for driving focus for both business and technical demands while improving product metrics and maintaining product data qualityThe Data Catalog Advisor will provide a comprehensive context for metadata by focusing on focuses on metadata management, data discovery, and collaboration. This will enable better collaboration and informed data-driven decisions. Key Benefits this role will provide:• Unified view of metadata (technical, governance, operational, quality, and usage).• Improved data discovery and understanding. • Supports data governance initiatives. • Enables self-service data provisioning. They will focus on:• Cataloging Data: It discovers, organizes, and enriches metadata across the entire data ecosystem. • Semantic Links: It establishes meaningful links between datasets, business terms, and data lineage. • Data Exploration: Users can explore data profiles, formats, quality, and lineage. • Operational Use: It actively drives operational processes (e.g., generating data quality rules)Top 3• 4+ years of experience cataloging data (metadata) from discovery to organization and enrichment across the entire data ecosystem.Ideally within large and complex data environments, typically found in fortune 1000 organizations. • 4+ years working with Business stakeholders to understand and represent business needs in requirements and onboarding to data governance platforms• 4+ years of experience with Data Governance products and platforms (Ideally Collibra products) guiding Metadata functionality and development of both structured and unstructured dataOverview:• Work with data governance products to assist Product Owner(s) with guiding functionality and content development with our business and engineering partners.• Works daily with our delivery team partners to gain functionality to harvest technical metadata. • Works daily with our data stewards and data owners to onboard and train on data governance platforms and concepts. Preferred Background:• Experience (4+ years working experience) with data governance, technical or business metadata. • Strong ability to work and assist the user community with onboarding to data governance platforms. • Understanding of a variety of data source platforms, structured and semi-structured data.• Ability to understand and represent business needs in requirements, track and resolve progress and issues, provide timely updates and escalations. • Experience with Collibra data governance products, Healthcare Industry data and/or data governance regulations and controls is a plus. Competencies and Skills:• Ability to lead functional development and tool on boarding meetings documenting decisions and issues• Ability to translate business data governance requirements into technical requirements to meet multiple business needs• Strong analytical, creative problem solving, and process management skills.• Ability to work with various data owners and provide data governance concepts. • Ability to plan and prioritize own work effectively to achieve set end results. • Excellent attention to detail• Excellent oral, written & presentation communication skills. • Ability to accept ambiguity, open to new ideas; willing to test and fail; and attempt new processes. • Ability to influence peers and subordinates to modify behaviors and provide support for the Implementation and adoption of data governance and metadata strategy and practices.• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team with a positive attitude for team goals. • Ability to deal with multiple time zones. • Proactive flexible attitude with a desire to learn new skills in the growing field of data governance. • Experience with Collibra Data Intelligence Center desired. • Agile Experience a plusTooling: Excel, SQL knowledge, Experience with Data Governance Tools (Collibra) or similar desiredKeywords: Data Governance, Data Catalog, Data Profile, Data Lineage, Business GlossaryEducation: Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline Apply tot his job
