Director, Content Marketing / Communications

Location: Remote Responsibilities We are looking for an experienced and rockstar content marketer who can take Steady’s start-up B2B/B2G vertical to market. You will own the brand creation, communication and deployment strategy by developing meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will be our storyteller by connecting customers’ business issues with Steady’s solutions. As our first marketing hire you will work intimately with leadership in Sales, Product, Data and Design Teams, and directly with partners and customers to develop and coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously. Keys to your and our success include a “doer" attitude, excellent communication skills, brand development, articulation of value proposition, storytelling based on data (across all customer segments) and willingness to be nimble in a start-up environment. Skills & Requirements • Develop our GTM communication plan for each of our B2B/B2G customer segments (government, financial institutions, corporations, non-profits, etc.) and write it yourself; this includes long-form blog pieces, sales/marketing collateral, customer communications, etc. • Ensure that our brand is positioned as a thought-leader with all constituents • Manage the content creating process, from research, content briefing, writing, review & publishing • Interview customers, leverage knowledge of the competitive landscape to prioritize content development • Set the brand tone of our content in partnership with Public Relations partners • Closely monitor and manage our communications across B2B/B2G channels to ensure consistent messaging • Implement effective and efficient marketing programs that accurately position and describe our solutions and are intuitive and compelling for our target audiences. • Monitor market and industry news, trends, and strategies, actively contributing to the intelligence of the Sales & Marketing team and company overall, including outreach to influencers to help build a community of brand ambassadors. • Create and implement marketing materials for external audiences including one-sheets, presentations, videos, infographics and other materials. • Create a monthly newsletter by working with internal stakeholders to position Steady as industry thought-leader. • Excellent project and time management skills are essential. • Strong attention to detail and written & oral presentation skills. • 7+ years of B2B content marketing and/or communications experience. • Experience working in/with financial institutions and public sector are big plus. • Bachelors or higher, with strong preference for Communication/Marketing.
