Your ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for a Director of Legal Operations to transform our Global Law Services Group into the legal team of the future! The ideal candidate for this position is a proactive, entrepreneurial, hands-on, and experienced operations-focused professional who is excited about developing, implementing, and continuously improving high-value processes and workflows across our global teams.This strategic position will report to our Corporate Secretary, directly work with our General Counsel and senior legal leadership team, and lead a dedicated team of legal operations professionals that will be critical to our ability to scale our ability to proactively serve our business partners. As a Director Global Legal Ops for John Deere World Headquarters located in Moline, IL, you will... • Be responsible for the delivery of GLSG (global law services group) operations, inclusive of contract management, matter management, legal technology portfolio management, spend management, knowledge management, and strategy.• Set and contribute to forming GLSG key objectives with regard to GLSG operations performance, goal planning, and quarterly tracking. • Oversee the establishment and enforcement of GLSG policies and processes, and approve exceptions / changes as necessary. • Collaborate directly with General Counsel and her staff regarding legal operations, GLSG initiatives and strategy. • Lead the GLSG Legal Ops Team in ensuring the strategic deployment of legal technology strategic analysis of legal spend. VISA Sponsorship is not available for this positionWhat Skills You Need• Experience building and delivering Legal Ops services in a corporate environment.(4 -7 years)• Experience implementing major software programs which involve change in process. (4 - 7 years)• Product or service development process/management experience. (4 - 7 years)• Experience leading cross-functional work groups or teams.
