Director of Sales Pet and Vet Vertical - Remote, USA - #8034 We are searching for an experienced Sales Director to develop new business across the USA. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of sales success within the pet and veterinary industries and a passion for driving technological innovation. This role focuses on leveraging industry expertise and network to bring in new business. It is a Business Development role where the Director of Sales will independently drive efforts to build and manage their sales pipeline. As a self-starter, the incumbent will connect with senior leaders (typically VP of Sales, GM, and Presidents) at pet and veterinary companies to identify and cultivate new business opportunities. A typical day involves outreach, engaging with prospective clients, and leveraging their exceptional communication skills to understand client needs. The Director of Sales is naturally inquisitive, with strong problem-solving abilities and a logical approach to overcoming barriers that may arise throughout the sales process. This is a hands-on, sales-focused role, where a direct, proactive approach is key. With a passion for generating growth, the Director of Sales will work independently, handling all aspects of their role without an assistant. However, they’ll have access to subject matter experts who will assist with product demos and support in closing deals, ensuring a collaborative approach to successful outcomes. As our Director of Sales in the U.S., they will be a pivotal team member who will lay the foundation for our market expansion and future success. This is more than just a sales role, it’s an opportunity to grow with us, influence our U.S. strategy, and make a lasting impact. The role is performance-driven, with a focus on achieving KPIs and driving growth rather than adhering to a strict schedule of hours or specific days. While we expect full dedication to building a strong U.S. client base, the Sales Executive will have flexibility in managing their time to best meet targets and support client needs. Success in this role is measured by results, allowing the individual to prioritize productivity and outcomes over a fixed schedule. Travel is 20-30%. Must have a proven track record in sales or business development and experience engaging with senior executives in the pet and veterinary sector.
