We are committed to creating an environment that encourages, supports, and celebrates the voices and experiences of our employees.Job SummaryAs a 988 Chat/Text Crisis Specialist, you will be responsible for providing brief clinical screenings, risk assessments, and service linkage for individuals experiencing emotional distress through the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (NSPL), also known as 988. This is a remote position that requires working a 24/7/365 schedule, handling incoming chat/text messages, and supporting telephonic intervention when necessary. You will work closely with our team to ensure that individuals receive the support they need to stay safe and connected to community resources.Essential Duties & Responsibilities* Provides telephonic or chat clinical screenings and risk assessments to assess for suicide, safety, and identify appropriate community resources. * Answers crisis contacts via the chat/text platform to assess for suicide, safety, and identify appropriate community resources to best meet individual needs. * Conducts follow-up calls for individuals who are deemed moderate to high risk for suicide. * Meets the ethical and clinical standards in compliance with all accreditation.* Actively participates in ongoing supervision, training, and team meetings. * Assists in administrative tasks as needed. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities* Effectively communicates via written, verbal, in-person, and virtual methods. * Demonstrates high-level customer service skills and professional etiquette. * Demonstrates knowledge and competency in providing service linkage and referrals for programs, services, and other community resources. * Knowledge of suicide assessments. * Skill in providing crisis intervention.Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, Psychology, Social Work, or related field required; or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist. * Six months to one year of related crisis experience is preferred. * Ability to work a 24/7/365 schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
