Key Responsibilities Offer friendly support to and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers Work in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of our organization Provide exceptional customer service to individuals seeking to travel, use cargo or baggage services by addressing their needs Handle all aspects of check-in and registration by operating an electronic retail system, boarding, baggage services, reservations, and resolving related complaints and issues Greet and handle customers in a courteous and friendly manner, handling cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons as forms of payment for tickets Process transactions, make change, and balance daily transactions, being accountable for any overage or shortage Check in baggage and cargo, answer phone calls to provide information to guests, page customers, resolve issues or complaints, and assist on an as-needed basis Handle transactions required to board the aircraft in a timely and efficient manner Manage upset customers due to oversells, delayed or canceled flights, lost, delayed, or damaged baggage, resolving issues quickly and within guidelines established by the organization Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required 1-2 years of customer service experience in the airline industry or a related field Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse customers and colleagues Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex customer issues in a professional and courteous manner Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities with ease Basic computer skills, with the ability to operate an electronic retail system and other software applications Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with the ability to stand for long periods and work in a dynamic environment Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: 2-3 years of customer service experience in the airline industry or a related field College degree or equivalent in a related field, such as hospitality or business administration Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers who speak languages other than English Previous experience working with electronic retail systems, baggage handling, and other airline-specific software applications Certification in customer service or a related field, such as the Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) designation Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Customer service skills : ability to provide exceptional customer service, handling customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner Communication skills : excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers and colleagues Problem-solving skills : strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex customer issues in a professional and courteous manner Time management skills : ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities with ease Teamwork skills : ability to work effectively with diverse colleagues, contributing to a positive and productive team environment Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for career growth and development.
