Job Summary and Responsibilities The Health and Benefits Support Specialist will be responsible for supporting our customers' journey through the healthcare reimbursement system. This role is challenging, fast-paced, and rewarding, and requires partnering closely with customers to provide valuable insights, education, and direction. As a Support Specialist, you will be accountable for delivering high-quality, customer-focused telephonic service, resolving issues without management intervention, and protecting sensitive customer information with discretion. Accountable for providing high-quality, customer-focused telephonic service using knowledge of procedures and systems to meet and/or exceed customer satisfaction while educating constituents on arenaflex policies and programs. Consult with customers to support easy navigation of available online tools, from checking an account balance to submitting claims. Accountable for resolving issues without management intervention to remove barriers for the customer. Responsible for initial call skills after training and may be cross-trained to other skills on a later date. Accountable to protect sensitive customer information with discretion. Responsible for all levels of customer engagement, while prioritizing effectively to meet customer service goals/deadlines. Other duties as assigned. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: 1-3 years of experience in customer service, with prior call center experience preferred. Computer knowledge and skills, with the ability to learn new systems. Basic understanding of medical/reimbursement terminology preferred. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and de-escalate and handle customer issues without utilizing a supervisor. Strong oral and written communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work hours of 10:30 am-7:00 pm CST, with some Saturdays required. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Degree in a related field, such as customer service, communications, or healthcare. Experience working in a healthcare or insurance environment. Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement systems and medical terminology. Certification in customer service, such as CCSP or CSS.
