Job Overview This role is an integral part of our Payments and Digital Strategy team at arenaflex Credit Union. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for handling various tasks related to check processing, item processing, direct bills, and fund transfers. Your primary goal will be to provide top-notch service to our customers, ensuring that their needs are met efficiently and effectively. Key Responsibilities Complete data entry and balancing tasks with accuracy and attention to detail Coordinate return items with contributors, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related Accounting standard ledger balancing Work on member cases and tasks assigned, ensuring timely and effective resolution Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines, as well as Federal Banking laws Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products Log, report, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns Process Stop Pays and Check Batching, ensuring accuracy and efficiency Complete daily balancing and department closing tasks, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail Obtain information from members for timely and accurate processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers, maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws, ensuring compliance and adherence to relevant regulations Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A high school diploma or GED Intermediate Excel and Word skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous customer/member service experience, with a focus on providing exceptional service and support Previous banking or Credit Union experience, with knowledge of relevant laws and regulations Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and software Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need: Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint Ability to work extended hours in support of business needs, with a focus on flexibility and adaptability Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide top-notch service and support to our members Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple responsibilities and tasks, and function as an integral part of a team Ability to perform mathematical calculations and analyze data, with attention to detail and accuracy Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines, with a focus on efficiency and productivity Ability to cross-train and perform any role assigned within the department, with a focus on flexibility and adaptability Ability to interact professionally with all personnel and members, maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision, with a focus on self-motivation and initiative Career Growth and Development At arenaflex, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development.
