About the Role We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative (Student Loan Advisor) to join our team. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, providing them with accurate and timely information, answering their questions, and resolving any issues they may have. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, utilizing standard technology such as telephones, emails, and web browsers to communicate with our customers. Key Responsibilities Take incoming calls, use chat, and complete outbound calls as necessary to assist customers with their queries Provide detailed information, process applications, and resolve emerging problems that our customer accounts may face with accuracy and efficiency Practice active listening, be empathetic, and communicate clearly with customers in a positive and professional manner Utilize standard technology such as telephones, emails, and web browsers to communicate with customers Navigate to pre-scripted responses to provide basic general and claims-specific information Follow established and documented policies and standard operating procedures, such as working within various systems, timekeeping, documentation of calls, and adhering to ethic and privacy rules Assist callers with filling out their applications and submitting them electronically to plan providers for processing Complete basic call logs, documentation, and related call details for each phone inquiry Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: High school diploma or equivalent required Ability to speak and read English clearly, professionally, and fluently Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute Experience working with a personal computer and the Windows operating system Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Knowledge of contact center technology Strong computer skills with proficiencies in Excel and Word Excellent command of the English language, effective use of grammar skills, and excellent communication etiquette Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and leadership skills Ability to multi-task and stay organized while completing simultaneous tasks Preferred Skills While not essential, the following skills are preferred: Previous experience in a customer-facing role Experience working in a contact center environment Knowledge of student loan programs and policies Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations What We Offer At arenaflex, we offer a range of benefits, including: Competitive pay Sick time that starts accruing immediately after training completion Special event days throughout the year $25,000 life insurance paid for by arenaflex Paid holidays from day one of employment (if you meet the criteria) Opportunity to work from home after 90 days (subject to performance, attendance, and compliance requirements) Work Schedule The schedule for this role is as follows: Monday: 11:45am-8:15pm Tuesday: 10:45am-7:15pm Wednesday: 10:45am-7:15pm Thursday: 8:45am-5:15pm Friday: 8:45am-5:15pm Career Growth and Development At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
