Experienced Data Analyst for Transportation Analytics Team – Remote Opportunity with arenaflex

Job Responsibilities As a Data Analyst at arenaflex, you will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, developing impactful visualizations, and providing actionable insights to stakeholders. Your key responsibilities will include: Working with large, messy, disparate datasets to conduct ad-hoc analyses and inform critical business decisions Creating ETLs or processes that pull data from multiple locations and centralize it in a single table Developing data visualizations to display and quantify the impact of changes and specific business challenges Engaging with team members and cross-functional groups on a periodic basis to establish credibility and analyze stakeholder needs Leveraging scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate tasks related to reporting, such as screenshots, metrics prioritization, and outlier detection Documenting processes and sharing expertise with colleagues, as well as mentoring peers as you become a Subject Matter Expert Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Excellent SQL skills, with the ability to manipulate data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity (2-4 years of experience) Creativity with a User Experience basis to develop impactful Tableau Dashboards (1-2 years of experience) Business Operations Fluency, with the ability to understand and root cause business problems, and a Supply Chain background, ideally with transportation experience Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Business Administration Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Advanced experience with SQL and Tableau Experience with e-commerce operations or parcel service operations Experience with Python or other scripting languages Experience with data manipulation tools, including Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, etc. Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with complex data sets and identify insights Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Strong technical skills, including proficiency in SQL, Tableau, and scripting languages such as Python Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand business operations and identify opportunities for improvement Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
