As a key member of our data team, you will report to a senior data manager or team member and work closely with them to ensure the integrity and accuracy of our data. Key Responsibilities Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Type in data provided directly from customers, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection policies. Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes, using MS Office tools such as Excel. Verify data by comparing it to source documents, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Update existing data, making sure that all information is current and up-to-date. Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested, providing timely and efficient support to the team. Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation, following established protocols and procedures. Sort and organize paperwork after entering data, maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Requirements and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications: Fast typing skills, with a strong knowledge of touch typing systems (strongly preferred). Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets, including MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.). Working knowledge of office equipment, computer hardware, and peripheral devices. Basic understanding of databases and data management principles. Good command of English, both oral and written, with excellent customer service skills.
