This role, also known as a Netflix Tagger, is a 100% remote position that offers the flexibility to work from anywhere, providing you with full control over your work environment.As a Netflix Tagger, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our content creation and management efforts, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and quality of our data. The Function and ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will be part of the Studio Data Management team, focusing on data related to the deals Netflix makes with talent and companies for the content we put on our service. Deal data is used throughout studio operations, from pitch to play, and it's essential that this data is accurate, complete, and linked. Your primary responsibilities will include:Defining, analyzing, and reporting on data quality standards to meet business requirementsDevising and socializing best practices for data managementCreating and executing procedures to monitor and improve data quality effectivelyWorking with product squads on projects related to product development and guiding improvements to foundational data healthProviding near-term and long-term thinking for deal data needs across the studio, including data quality and data educationCreating quarterly goals to meet near and long-term business objectives and leading the execution of roadmap initiativesActing as the primary data entity subject matter expert, consulting with product management, engineers, designers, and stakeholders on work related to deal dataWorking with product management, product DSE, and other partners to define, create, analyze, and report metrics that provide visibility into various dimensions of data qualityIndependently defining and implementing strategies to scale data quality work effectivelyLeading data quality projects to support product development and improve foundational data quality, creating detailed plans that identify business impact, timelines, and risks, and executing on workManaging stakeholder requests and driving stakeholder alignment when neededActing as a resource for responding to users' data-related support requestsPartnering with business teams to create and implement more efficient processes, quality data practices, and educational programsEssential and Preferred QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you should have:6+ years of experience working in data management with databases and/or content management systemsStrong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize information across a broad environment to diagnose problems and devise solutionsRobust knowledge of workflow and the ability to recognize inefficienciesPreferred knowledge of the pitch-to-play lifecycle of contentUnderstanding of data lifecycle and data governance principlesExcellent time-management and project management skills, with the ability to manage timelines for multiple projectsStrong ability to communicate with empathy and clarity to technical and non-technical audiencesFlexibility in an evolving environmentProficiency with Google Suite and desk-based applications (e.g., Excel, Airtable)Skills and Competencies Required for SuccessIn addition to the essential and preferred qualifications, the following skills and competencies are required for success in this role:Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracyExcellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify trends and patternsStrong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teamsAbility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholdersCareer Growth Opportunities and Learning BenefitsAt Netflix, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.As a Data Management Specialist, you will have access to a wide range of training and development opportunities, including:Professional development courses and workshopsMentorship programsOpportunities to work on high-impact projects and collaborate with cross-functional teamsAccess to industry-leading tools and technologiesWork Environment and Company CultureAt Netflix, we pride ourselves on our unique and dynamic company culture.
