Job Summary As a Principal Engineer - Data Analytics & Science at blithequark, you'll be responsible for leading a team of engineers and driving the development of data analytics and science solutions that will shape the future of our business. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions that drive growth and innovation. You'll also be responsible for mentoring and coaching junior engineers, and for staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in data analytics and science. Key Responsibilities * Lead a team of engineers and drive the development of data analytics and science solutions that will shape the future of our business * Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions that drive growth and innovation * Mentor and coach junior engineers to help them develop their skills and advance their careers * Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data analytics and science, and apply this knowledge to drive business growth and innovation * Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to develop and implement data-driven solutions that drive business growth and innovation * Develop and maintain complex data models and reporting systems that provide insights and recommendations to business stakeholders * Work with IT teams to design and implement data infrastructure and architecture that supports business growth and innovation * Develop and implement data quality guidelines and best practices that ensure data accuracy and reliability * Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions that drive growth and innovation * Develop and maintain documentation for data analytics and science processes, including data models, reporting systems, and data quality guidelines * Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data analytics and science, and apply this knowledge to drive business growth and innovation Essential Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Science, or related field * 15+ years of experience in data analytics and science, with a focus on leading teams and driving business growth and innovation * 5+ years of experience in leadership or senior roles, with a focus on guiding and leading teams * 5+ years of experience working with cloud technologies, including ADLS, Databricks, and other large data innovations * Advanced skills in data analytics and science tools, languages, and systems, including Conos, PowerBI, SQL, Python, and R * Experience working with cloud stages, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, to model and implement scalable and efficient data analytics solutions * Strong understanding of Lakehouse engineering standards, including the best of data lakes and data warehouses for powerful and adaptable data management * High-level SQL skills, with a strong understanding of social data sets and business data capacity to write complex SQL queries against various data sources * Experience managing high-volume and high-speed data streams, and designing systems that can handle the demands of real-time or near-real-time analysis * Experience in shaping the essential vision for data analytics and science drives within an organization * Successful management of data analytics projects, including planning, execution, and delivery * Proven ability to drive innovation, adapt to emerging technologies, and execute industry best practices * Proven ability to take ownership and accountability of critical issues and resolve them to closure * Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications * Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Science, or related field * Significant industry certifications, such as Certified Data Scientist or Certified Analytics Professional * Experience in retail, manufacturing, e-commerce, or supply chain management What We Offer * Competitive salary and benefits package * Opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals from diverse backgrounds and industries * Collaborative and inclusive work environment that's driven by a shared vision of success * Opportunities for career growth and advancement, including training and development programs * Flexible work arrangements, including remote work options and flexible hours * Access to the latest technologies and tools, including cloud platforms, data analytics and science tools, and other innovative solutions If you're a seasoned data analytics and science professional looking for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
