Our team members are the backbone of our organization, and we're dedicated to providing them with the resources, training, and opportunities they need to succeed. **The Global Merchant and Network Services (GM&NS) Estimating Team** The GM&NS Estimating team is responsible for driving the single largest source of arenaflex's revenue: Merchant Discount Income. This team works closely with various stakeholders to determine the optimal pricing strategy that enables merchant acceptance of arenaflex while improving inclusion and merchant satisfaction. By leveraging client-driven pricing standards, adaptable pricing engineering, and creative pricing solutions, we drive GM&NS income and profit growth. **The Financial Analyst of Planning and Research – Canada** As a Financial Analyst of Planning and Research – Canada, you will play a critical role in determining and reporting merchant discount income. This position offers a unique opportunity to impact multiple organizations and departments by aligning the association's objective for profitable charge volume and merchant growth, essential for the strength of our business. **Key Responsibilities** * Develop a Canada figure for merchant discount income, tracking monthly performance against forecast and identifying drivers of change * Create vendor discount income scorecards for the Canada district * Drive normalization and process improvement among the different local pricing groups for all reporting and determining related activities * Support external reviews, including investigating issues found, reaching out to the provincial pricing groups that handle the merchant relationship to discuss issues, and managing goals * Perform ad-hoc data analysis to assess rebate rate trends and uncover insights **Essential Qualifications** * 2+ years of experience in financial services or payments industry, and/or other finance-related roles * Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in finance, accounting, or business preferred * High proficiency in Excel is required * Strong attention to detail and organization * Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to develop complex financial models and draw value-added insights from large datasets * Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., SAS/SQL) is required * Excellent communication skills – both written and oral * Strong relationship-building skills, with ability to influence others in situations where there may be multiple objectives * Strong work ethic with an extreme will-to-win, ability to succeed in a high-speed, dynamic team environment, which places an emphasis on driving results * An innovative thinker who will challenge conventional approaches and develop new ways to tackle old challenges * Strong project management skills with full ownership from analysis through to execution * Enthusiastic focus on the client, with demonstrated willingness to understand and address client needs and pain points * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple requests and priorities as needed **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) * Knowledge of financial modeling software (e.g., Financial Modeling, Excel) * Familiarity with data management systems (e.g., data warehousing, ETL) * Experience with agile project management methodologies * Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements **What We Offer** * Competitive hourly rate of $25-$35 * Opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment * Collaborative and supportive team culture * Professional development and growth opportunities * Flexible work arrangements, including remote work options * Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance * Generous paid time off and holidays * Access to cutting-edge technology and tools * Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance **How to Apply** If you're a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a passion for data analysis and operations, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
