You will work closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care and services. **Key Responsibilities** * Assist pharmacists in the exercise of pharmacy, including filling prescriptions, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for potential interactions. * Use pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and manage inventory. * Provide exceptional patient care, including greeting patients, answering questions, and resolving issues. * Model and share customer service best practices with colleagues to deliver a unique and delightful patient experience. * Develop strong relationships with patients and healthcare professionals. * Perform duties as assigned by the pharmacy manager, personnel pharmacist, and store supervisor, including utilizing pharmacy systems, filling prescriptions, and verifying medication accuracy. * Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to company policies and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and the quality improvement program. * Strictly adhere to the arenaflex Co. Policy regarding accurate dispensing throughout all applicable prescription dispensing activities. * Register all related sales on assigned cash register, collect and handle coins as required, and take patients to the OTC aisle to assist in finding merchandise. * Handle telephone calls that do not require the personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians. * Method (correct and resubmit) claims for third-party prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and perform other clerical responsibilities as assigned by the store manager. * Assist and support the pharmacy team on stock management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of prescription medications. * Maintain knowledge of company asset safety procedures and document claims for warehouse overages (merchandise received but not billed), shortages (merchandise billed but not obtained), order errors or broken goods related to Rx capsules. * May assist pharmacists in administering medical services, including the collection and proper labeling of blood/urine samples from patients and other medical services as required. * Assist the pharmacy team in coordinating medical services, arenaflex healthcare clinics, and external vendors. **Education and Personal Development** * Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the arenaflex pharmacy technician training program and/or state required certification/registration. * Attend training and complete PPLs as requested by the manager and acquire continuing education credits. * Maintain expertise and skills in healthcare and pharmacy, including staying up-to-date on the latest information and developments. * Through completion of the arenaflex pharmacy technician apprenticeship program, experience qualifies for 8 (8) college credit hours as recognized by the American Council on Education (ACE). **Basic Qualifications** * Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). * Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. **Preferred Qualifications** * Choose to have six months of experience in a retail environment. * Choose to have previous work experience with arenaflex. * Choose to have desirable math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications. * Choose to have good computer skills. * Choose to have knowledge of store inventory management. * Prefer PTCB certification. **The arenaflex Difference** arenaflex is a leader in the pharmacy and retail industry, and we are committed to providing a dynamic and supportive work environment for our employees.
