This apprenticeship program provides an entry point to a career in healthcare, guiding you in taking steps towards becoming a Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) licensed Pharmacy Technician and supporting you in maintaining the high level of skill required in the pharmacy care industry. **Key Responsibilities** As an Experienced Full Stack Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for: * Assisting pharmacists in the exercise of pharmacy, under direct supervision, in accordance with national and federal regulations * Using pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information and process prescriptions * Modeling and providing a unique and delightful customer experience * Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and providing assistance with services and products * Resolving customer issues and answering inquiries to ensure a superb customer experience * Developing strong relationships with most valuable customers * Performing duties as assigned by the Pharmacy manager, personnel Pharmacist, and store supervisor, including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug records, filling prescriptions, and verifying medication accuracy * Assisting pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow * Reporting prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhering to company rules and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and the quality improvement program * Strictly adhering to the arenaflex Co. Policy regarding accurate dispensing throughout all applicable prescription dispensing activities * Registering all related income on assigned cash register, collecting and handling coins as required * Taking customers to the OTC aisle to assist in finding merchandise * Handling telephone calls that do not require the personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians * Processing (correcting and resubmitting) claims for third-party prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and performing other clerical responsibilities as assigned by the store manager * Assisting and supporting the Pharmacy department on stock management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of prescription drugs * Maintaining knowledge of company asset safety procedures and documenting claims for warehouse overages (merchandise received but not billed), shortages (merchandise billed but not obtained), order errors or broken goods related to Rx capsules * Assisting pharmacists in administering medical services, including the collection and proper labeling of blood/urine samples from patients and other medical services as required * Assisting the Pharmacy supervisor and personnel Pharmacist in developing and maintaining true relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers, through clinical provider detailing and outreach to healthcare agencies, retirement homes, nursing homes, and other forums for reinforcing growth opportunities * Assisting with outdoor and indoor maintenance by ensuring the pharmacy department is stocked with sufficient supplies, clean, neat, and orderly in appearance and condition **Essential Qualifications** * Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) * Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment * Prefer previous work experience with arenaflex * Prefer desirable math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications * Prefer correct computer skills * Prefer knowledge of store inventory management * Prefer PTCB certification **Preferred Qualifications** * Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment * Prefer previous work experience with arenaflex * Prefer desirable math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications * Prefer correct computer skills * Prefer knowledge of store inventory management * Prefer PTCB certification **Work Environment and Company Culture** arenaflex is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment that values and respects the contributions of all employees.
