As a key member of our Vacations department, you'll be responsible for negotiating group inclusions, promotions, and support for our Groups department needs, developing supplier relationships, and creating strategies that drive business growth and competitiveness in the Mexico-Caribbean market. If you're a strategic thinker with excellent communication and negotiation skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.Key Responsibilities• Own supplier relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for group-related questions and opportunities. • Facilitate communication and projects among the Groups Department and Supplier Engagement teams to drive positive impact on ALGV performance. • Analyze Groups data, share it regularly with suppliers, and apply it to create win-win solutions that benefit all parties, showcasing the value of opportunities and persuading suppliers to engage. • Negotiate Groups policies, Group Credit offers, or promotions to drive business growth and competitiveness.• Negotiate new programs with suppliers to maintain industry-leading products and innovative offerings. • Timely address turnaround issues and other challenges arising with suppliers. • Coordinate and finalize ongoing team supplier trainings to ensure team members are continuously learning about products and destinations. • Contribute to the development of unique processes for groups. • Understand Groups divisions and key processes. • Effectively communicate market trend feedback based on supplier meetings and discussions to SE & Groups Leaders.• Professionally represent ALGV by attending various supplier and industry events. • Demonstrate a commitment to ALG core values. Essential QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you'll need:• Account management experience, preferably in the travel industry. • Personable interaction and ability to create and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and team colleagues. • The ability to use knowledge and data to create win-win solutions that benefit all parties, showcase the value of opportunities, and persuade others to engage.• The ability to travel by air, car, and train for approximately 10% of your work schedule, including international travel, corporate headquarters visits, and trade shows. • Travel industry experience and/or training is strongly preferred. • Effective negotiation/selling skills. • Strong oral and written communication skills. • Ability to work independently. • Ability to proactively engage with internal and external contributors to deliver desired results. • Analytical skills to work with data and make suggestions based on various reports.• Strong initiative and time management skills. Preferred QualificationsWe're looking for candidates with:• Experience with Salesforce product. • Strong proficiency in bolthires suite and ability to quickly learn analytics and reporting tools. EducationA Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university, along with two or more years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
