Responsibilities:** As a Technical Specialist – Datacom Services at arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include: * Providing expert technical support and guidance to clients across various arenaflex locations * Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to video servers, programming, and hardware installations * Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Resort Designing Group, FAM, OSI, and WDI, to ensure seamless integration of datacom services * Conducting thorough investigations with field specialists to identify and resolve complex technical issues * Managing and maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of consumables and equipment * Overseeing the installation and maintenance of video head end IP, RF QAM, and transcoding video systems * Providing level 2 support for emergency break/fix of any telecom services equipment followed through Assistance NOW * Preparing and presenting metrics on uptime, usage, trends, and opportunities to stakeholders * Ensuring telecom network maintains up-to-date software and security patches * Managing substitution and backup parts for all installations * Collaborating with other DPEP groups and service providers to deliver efficient technical solutions **Essential Qualifications:** To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: * 3+ years of experience in the AV/Technical Industry * 3+ years of network cabling and routing experience * Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP Workplace, and Assistance NOW * Strong understanding of various video and audio merchant applications (Sonify, QSC, Crestron, IOT, Synamedia, Genetec, SevOne, Forward Organizations, Splunk, Zabbix, Infoblox, etc.) * Strong understanding and experience in commercial video distribution support, sustainment, and execution * Demonstrated ability to manage escalations and blackouts * Strong knowledge of network security principles and industry best practices * Knowledge of investigation and reporting tools like Scene, Power BI * Proven strong organizational and time management skills * Ability to meet designated deadlines and manage competing priorities * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Eagerness to learn new software applications * Ability to work on Saturday or Sunday, as well as nighttime, as required by client and business needs * Self-motivated and driven * Demonstrated ability to manage escalations and blackouts * Moderate experience in network cabling and routing * Familiarity with intelligent and video systems and solutions * Demonstrated success working with a range of partners **Preferred Qualifications:** While not required, the following preferred qualifications would be an asset in this role: * 3+ years of experience in the AV or Technical Industry, experience with video distribution, encoding, audio mixes, and IOT devices * 3+ years of network cabling and routing experience * Familiarity with security and organization certifications * Vendor-related certifications and training (QSC, Synamedia, Cisco, etc.) **Education:** * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Video Technology, Data Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Analysis, or other related scientific or technical discipline * Or equivalent certifications or relevant work experience
