About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician and Data Entry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will be responsible for assisting the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy, interacting with customers, and developing strong patient relationships. You will also be responsible for using pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and perform other clerical duties as assigned. Key Responsibilities: Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy, under direct supervision, in accordance with state and federal regulations Use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and perform other clerical duties Develop strong relationships with customers and patients, providing a unique and delightful customer experience Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a unique and delightful customer experience Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems, filling prescriptions, and verifying medication accuracy Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow, and report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty Strictly adhere to the arenaflex Policy regarding accurate dispensing of medication during all applicable prescription dispensing activities Register all related sales on assigned cash register, collect and handle cash as required, and take customers to the OTC aisle when possible to assist in finding products Handle telephone calls that don't require the personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians Process (correct and resubmit) manual claims for third-party application prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and perform other clerical duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager Essential Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). You must also have a strong foundation in math skills, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
