About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior General Ledger Accountant to join our accounting team. As a Senior GL Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing journal entries and monthly account reconciliations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and driving process improvements. You will work closely with our accounting team and other stakeholders to achieve business objectives and drive forward process enhancements. Key Responsibilities * Prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations for assigned areas of the general ledger * Be a key owner of the monthly close process for blithequark and foreign entities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting * Maintain financial records and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls * Provide support for external auditors during annual audits and quarterly reviews * Communicate with FP&A, operational partners, and external parties regarding accounting matters * Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives to drive process improvements Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have: * 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a similar industry * Strong knowledge of US GAAP, PCAOB guidelines, and SOX/internal controls * Experience with NetSuite, Coupa, and GSuite is a plus * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA certification or equivalent * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills * Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications * Experience with financial planning and analysis * Knowledge of accounting software and systems, such as NetSuite and Coupa * CPA certification or equivalent * Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you should possess: * Strong technical accounting skills, including knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines * Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and complete financial records Career Growth and Development At blithequark, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our employees.
