Join a small, fast-growing team creating high-quality documentary videos. Our primary channel is Futurology, a YouTube channel with 354,000 subscribers and over 150 million lifetime views. We’re a lean team of three, currently focused on rebuilding momentum, increasing upload frequency, and steadily raising the quality bar of our documentary-style content. We create geopolitics, infrastructure, and future-focused documentaries that rely heavily on clear, thoughtful 2D/3D animation to explain complex ideas. The Role We’re looking for an animator to help produce high-quality animations in After Effects (and Blender where applicable) for documentary-style YouTube videos. This is not a simple editing role or a casual freelance gig. You should already understand core After Effects fundamentals, including motion and timing, keyframing and easing, masking, effects, transitions, basic compositing, and visual clarity. Experience creating map-based animations with GeoLayers 3 is required. What matters most is a strong willingness to improve, advance your skills, and steadily raise your animation quality over time.
