Healthcare Outcomes Research Consultant (Graduate-Level, Contract, Part-Time) Location: Remote Compensation: $30–$45 per hour + $500 completion bonus (deliverable-based) Ideal candidates: Graduate-level (MPH, MS, PhD) or early-career healthcare outcomes or quality analyst with familiarity in skilled nursing facilities (SNF) or post-acute care About Vitaline Vitaline (formerly Dript IV Therapy) provides clinician led IV hydration and micronutrient therapy for medically complex patients in post-acute and long-term care settings who are at high risk for dehydration and related complications. Our services are designed to support proactive care, reduce avoidable hospitalizations, and improve patient stability in skilled nursing facilities. As we scale, Vitaline is building a market-ready outcomes narrative grounded in real-world data and aligned to recognized skilled nursing and post-acute quality frameworks. This work supports payer, operator, and clinical stakeholder confidence in how our services impact patient outcomes. Project Goal Redesign Vitaline’s outcomes measurement approach, including definitions, data capture requirements, benchmarking strategy, and executive-ready reporting, so outcomes can be tracked consistently and compared credibly against standard skilled nursing quality and utilization measures. What You’ll Do • Outcomes framework design: Define a coherent outcomes measurement framework tied to SNF and post-acute care measures such as utilization, avoidable transfers, patient stability markers, and quality indicators, and specify how Vitaline’s services should be evaluated over time. • Measure specifications: Develop detailed metric definitions, including numerator and denominator logic, inclusion and exclusion criteria, time windows, and attribution rules, along with a supporting data dictionary. • Benchmark alignment: Identify and map to external SNF and post-acute benchmarking frameworks and datasets (CMS Nursing Home Quality Measures, SNF Quality Reporting Program measures, and other established sources as appropriate) and recommend a defensible comparison strategy. • Data capture and workflow recommendations: Translate the measurement framework into practical data collection requirements and workflows, including what data must be captured, where, by whom, and when, along with quality assurance checks for completeness and integrity. • Reporting narrative: Produce executive-ready outcomes reporting structures, including templates, chart and table outlines, and interpretation guidance that are clear, defensible, and market-facing. Deliverables (examples; will finalize at kickoff) • Outcomes and metrics map aligned to SNF and post-acute quality frameworks • Metric specification documents and data dictionary • Benchmarking plan including comparator selection, stratification or risk adjustment approach, and limitations • Data capture requirements, recommended workflow changes, and quality assurance checks • Executive-ready outcomes report template with narrative guidance • Optional pilot analysis using historical Vitaline data to validate feasibility Required Qualifications • Graduate-level training (MPH, MS, PhD) or equivalent applied experience in healthcare outcomes or quality measurement • Academic or professional focus in Health Services Research, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Population Health, Public Health, or a related healthcare analytics field • Experience working with real-world healthcare data and outcome definitions • Strong quantitative reasoning skills and comfort working with ambiguity and imperfect data Preferred Qualifications • Familiarity with skilled nursing facility or post-acute care quality measures, quality programs, or benchmarking • Experience with measure specifications, cohort definition, and risk stratification • Experience with SQL and or R or Python; data visualization experience is a plus but not the core focus of the role Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job
