Join Huron’s mission-driven Clinical Insights team as a strategic, execution-focused Product Owner responsible for translating innovative product vision into precise development plans that accelerate delivery of advanced clinical, operational, and experiential analytics solutions. You will serve as the critical bridge between the Product Manager/strategic innovation lead and our engineering, data science, platform, and consulting teams—ensuring conceptual ideas become clear, actionable, and technically feasible features delivered through a disciplined Agile/Lean operating model. Your work will support Huron’s next-generation Clinical Insights platform, enabling world-class consulting, throughput optimization, quality improvement, and AI-enabled analytics across ED, inpatient, and perioperative domains. Key Responsibilities Product Vision & Roadmap Maintain and continuously refine a clear product vision and roadmap aligned with clinical quality, operational throughput, and healthcare outcomes and operational differentiated performance. Translate strategic direction from the Product Manager into actionable development plans, epics, features, and sprint-ready stories. Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring business value alignment, workflow relevance, and technical feasibility. Lead future-state visioning for AI-driven and agentic analytics capabilities. Excellence: Hold yourself and others accountable for high-quality outcomes and reliable, predictable delivery. Stakeholder Collaboration Serve as the central connector across clinical operations, consulting, engineering, data science, architecture, platform, and UX. Collaborate with the Product Manager and others to gather and synthesize input from clinicians, hospital operations leaders, internal consulting teams, and technical partners to shape product features and value streams. Help capture the voice of both customers and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with operational, clinical, and market needs. Facilitate Agile ceremonies and foster cross-functional collaboration, transparency, and shared ownership. Requirements Gathering & Analysis Lead end-to-end requirements discovery: functional, non-functional, workflow, and technical. Translate clinical and operational needs into precise, testable, buildable epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases. Partner with architects, engineers, and data scientists to validate feasibility and alignment with system architecture, curated datasets, and semantic layer structures. Maintain disciplined traceability of requirements and support change management processes. Integrity: Bring honesty, transparency, and rigor to every step of the development process. Customer-Centric and Platform Design Partner with the Insights Platform team and UX/UI resources to deliver intuitive, accessible, and workflow-aligned user experiences. Conduct testing, feedback sessions, workflow observations, and rapid iteration cycles to validate assumptions and refine product direction. Intellectual Curiosity: Continuously explore new ideas, challenge assumptions, and learn from users. Business Analysis & Quality Improvement Support Conduct workflow assessments and gap analyses to uncover opportunities for operational improvement. Support validation, QA, UAT, and release readiness efforts to ensure design integrity and value realization. Document current- and future-state processes, workflows, and data flows that underpin scalable product development. Humility: Recognize that innovative products evolve through learning, iteration, and shared insight. TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS Ability to travel as needed up to 6 times per year. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a finance or computer science related discipline. (MBA preferred) 3+ years as a Product Owner, Technical Business Analyst, or Product Manager supporting software, analytics, or data-driven product development. Proven execution strength in managing backlogs, driving Agile ceremonies, removing blockers, and ensuring predictable, high-quality delivery. Demonstrated ability to translate complex product vision into precise, buildable development plans—including epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint sequencing. Exceptional clarity in written and verbal communication, with the ability to bridge strategic intent and technical implementation. Experience collaborating closely with engineering, data science, and architecture teams to ensure technical feasibility and alignment. Comfort working with analytical concepts (metrics, dashboards, data workflows, KPIs) and supporting data-informed product decisions. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with clinical, operational, or business-facing users. Ability to balance strategic understanding with disciplined tactical execution. Preferred Experience in healthcare operations, clinical workflows, throughput management, or quality improvement (ED, inpatient, or perioperative exposure is a plus). Familiarity with healthcare data assets such as EMR/EHR structures, LOS metrics, throughput indicators, quality datasets, or utilization/claims data. Experience partnering with data scientists and engineers on analytics, AI, or ML-enabled features. Exposure to: SQL, R, Python Data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, QuickSight, R Shiny, etc.) AI/ML concepts, NLP, or agentic analytics Modern data stack components (semantic layers, curated datasets, data lakes, etc.) Background in healthcare analytics consulting, SaaS product development, or technical program management. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $161,000 - $237,500 USD. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs.
