Role Description This role involves assisting providers with their records and network agreements while ensuring proper communication and documentation. • Responds to written and telephone inquiries from providers regarding their records and network agreements • Addresses provider questions, including specialty agreements and W-9 information • Establishes electronic funds transfers (EFT) records when appropriate • Maintains departmental records and files, including initial credentialing and business or provider updates • Researches and resolves inquiries by accessing the provider, National Provider File (NPF), and other resources • Processes claims assigned to the Provider Records worklist • Operates office equipment which may include personal computer, photocopier, scanner, calculator, fax, etc. Qualifications • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent • Two years of work experience in an office environment Requirements • Ability to begin work at 7:30 a.m. or be required to work until 5:00 p.m. (rotating basis) • Successful completion of a data entry test sponsored by Human Resources within the past 12 months / 5,500 keystrokes per hour with 95% accuracy (test waived if candidate currently holds or has previously held a CRT Operator position) • Successful completion of a typing test administered by Human Resources within the past 12 months with a typing speed of 40 correct words per minute (minimum of 90% accuracy) (test waived if candidate currently holds a position that requires at least 40 correct words per minute) Company Description At Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana we work to improve oral health through benefit plans, advocacy and community support, and we amplify this mission by investing in initiatives that build healthy, smart, vibrant communities.
