The Bioinformatics, BioPharma team at Guardant Health is focused on partnerships with leading biotech and pharma companies who are at the forefront of cancer therapeutics and diagnostics. In this role, you will play a key leadership role in bioinformatics and data analysis, supporting the development of emerging technologies.• Collaborate with BioPharma and clinical partners• Customize analyses to meet the unique needs of each organization• Address compelling biological and technical challenges in the field• Contribute to novel project initiatives in-house• Drive innovation and implement new ideas• Work with an unprecedented set of clinical DNA whole genome and exome sequence data• Develop and learn novel analytical methods for DNA sequencing data• Collaborate on high-impact translational research and publish findings• Leverage data for tumor biology and technological insightsQualifications• Ph.D.in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Statistics, Genomics or related fields• 5-8 years experience in industry/academia post-graduation• Established scientific expertise, demonstrated through peer-reviewed publications and/or contributions to successful product development in the biotech industry• In-depth knowledge of modern genomic tools and pipelines for processing and analyzing primary data• Extensive experience in next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) and Linux shell environment• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment• Strong analytical and organizational skills• Collaborative team player, adept at working cross-functionally• Bonus: Experience in developing novel or custom algorithms for NGS data interpretation• Bonus: Direct experience working with epigenomic dataRequirements• Work with large, complex data sets• Tend to non-routine analysis problems, applying deep epigenetic knowledge• Develop or apply statistical methods and procedures to evaluate and validate Guardant Health technologies• Systematically leverage external innovation ideas and expertise• Provide analytical support on individual samples and research activities• Deliver analytical support for clinical operations in compliance with CLIA and CAP regulatory standards• Analyze genomic data from clinical patients and external annotation sources• Develop scripts for research and development activities• Communicate research results through presentations and project reportsBenefits• Hybrid Work Model: Defined days for in-person collaboration and work-from-home days• Flexibility for better work-life balance while keeping teams connected• Competitive salary range: $133,540 to $183,560 (varies by location)• Consideration for qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable law Apply tot his job
