As the Health Information Management Coding Manager, you'll be a key driver in elevating our medical facility's efficiency and effectiveness through visionary leadership and cutting-edge strategies.Key Responsibilities:As our Hybrid, Full-Time Health Information Management Coding Manager, you'll take on a multifaceted role that encompasses various responsibilities:• Lead and mentor a team of skilled coders and health information management professionals, inspiring them to achieve peak performance and unparalleled coding accuracy. • Oversee the coding process, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, including ICD-10, CM and PCS, CPT-4 and APC/DRG. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medical staff, finance, and IT, to streamline coding processes, optimize revenue cycle management, and enhance data accuracy.• Implement and refine innovative coding technologies and data analytics tools to ensure seamless workflows and comprehensive data insights. • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and regulatory changes, proactively adapting coding practices to maintain compliance and industry best practices. • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development, encouraging your team to reach new heights in their coding expertise. Qualifications:To succeed in this impactful role, we're looking for candidates with the following qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, or a related field.• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in medical coding, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity. • Proven expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems, with a deep understanding of coding principles and guidelines. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and drive data-driven decisions. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Coding Specialist-Physician-based (CCS-P) certification required.
