The Individual Family Plans (IFP) & Small Group Product Group (SGP) Portfolio Planning Leader is a strategic role responsible for overseeing the intake, evaluation, prioritization, and governance of portfolio initiatives across business segments. This leader ensures alignment with enterprise strategy, drives value creation, and facilitates decision-making across cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: Lead team of Intake Managers Lead annual strategic planning cycles Stakeholder Experiences. Aggregate and prioritize initiatives vying for investment. Ensure alignment with enterprise goals and value drivers. Serve as a connector across Stakeholder Experiences to ensure initiatives are prioritized and escalated appropriately. Portfolio Prioritization & Value Optimization Own and facilitate road mapping sessions and Pitch Day Synthesize multi-year roadmaps into IFP & SGP Master Inventory Assist in determination of value optimization and strategic alignment Coordinate Stakeholder Experience Prioritization (1-n) Effort & Value Assessment EG: Impact & Feasibility Assessment, Business Case Validation Portfolio & Intake Management/ Governance & Decision Support Lead end-to-end management and coordination of all requests submitted into IFP & SGP Intake processes Own and facilitate portfolio governance, ensuring initiatives meet readiness criteria and are aligned with enterprise strategy. Guide business and partner with stakeholders to define problems and shape solutions. Identify, communicate and manage risks in an organized and detailed manner – timely escalation of barriers to success. Make initial Go/No-Go decisions, based on knowledge of aligned Stakeholder Experience Roadmap and backlogs (Strategic and Business Directed), and pipeline. Present GO recommendation to the Portfolio Leadership for disposition; if approved, include in backlog, and sequenced for delivery. Provide outcomes/status to the business submitters, including what the recommended outcomes mean. Drive trade-off and sequencing decisions across verticals, ensuring transparency and alignment. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred Minimum of 15+ years of experience working in strategy and operational leadership, with a proven background successfully leading organizations through business transformation. 15+ years of relevant Portfolio Management, Program/Project Management, and/or healthcare experience required. 10+ years of experience leading people. Experience and/or working knowledge across multiple growth platforms, sub-business and/or functions preferred. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and rapidly changing team-based, heavily matrixed environment. High degree of flexibility and agility. Works well in a fast-paced environment. Thrives on dealing with ambiguity and managing complexity. Strong relationship management and cross-functional influence, including at the most senior levels of the organization. Ability to understand complex needs of stakeholders at all levels of the organization in order to drive sustainable change. Innovative and will challenge the status quo. For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 130,700 - 217,800 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
