HR Generalist (Contract / Temporary) Position Summary The HR Generalist will support the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function within a 100-person services company. This is a contract / temporary position based in Dallas, with an expected duration of 2–5 months. The role is responsible for administering HR policies and procedures, supporting employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, compliance, and performance management. The HR Generalist serves as a key liaison between the division and corporate HR, ensuring alignment with company-wide initiatives while addressing the unique needs of the business unit. Key Responsibilities • Act as the primary point of contact for employees and managers, responding to day-to-day HR questions and providing guidance on policies, procedures, and best practices. • Manage full-cycle recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate coordination, onboarding, and new hire orientation. • Support the development, implementation, and ongoing administration of HR policies and procedures in alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements. • Assist with employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions, ensuring consistency, fairness, and compliance. • Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local employment laws by maintaining up-to-date and compliant HR practices. • Partner with the Corporate Learning & Development team to coordinate training programs and professional development initiatives. • Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS and ensure timely reporting and data integrity. • Prepare and submit Certified Payroll reports in accordance with legal, contractual, and regulatory standards. • Collaborate closely with payroll and benefits teams to support efficient and accurate HR operations. • Participate in divisional and organization-wide HR projects and initiatives that support continuous improvement and business objectives. • Travel as needed to support divisional or organizational needs. Qualifications Required • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. • Minimum of three (3) years of progressive human resources experience, preferably in a multi-site or divisional environment. • Direct experience preparing and filing Certified Payroll reports (required). • Solid knowledge of employment laws and human resources best practices. • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office applications. • Self-motivated professional with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
