The Information Security department is involved in exploring new and emerging technologies. This program will offer you hands-on work along with real-world research and development opportunities. State Farm continues to refine and expand the use of technology for employees, agents, and customers. As a Finance Intern on the Department Operations Budget Team, you will have the opportunity to perform financial analysis that is relied upon by department leaders in making decisions. Qualifications We Are Looking For The Following: • Students who apply MUST be returning to school (undergraduate or graduate) for at least one semester following the summer internship • 12 hours or more of relevant coursework in accounting or finance before the start of the internship • Pursuing degree in Accounting or an MBA • Current Junior, Senior or graduate student preferred • Drive and initiative to lead and affect positive change • Leadership skills through extracurricular and professional endeavors • Ability to thrive in a team environment, both in-person and virtual • Effective communication skills, both oral and written • A can-do attitude, and someone who loves to have a bit of fun! • The ability to work in an environment that emphasizes information sharing, collaboration, teamwork, mutual respect, and integrity. • Experience with Microsoft Office for documentation, data analysis, and presentations • Ability to perform advanced Excel functions (pivot tables / charts / functions) • Basic knowledge of Return on Investment analysis helpful SPONSORSHIP: Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work authorization (e.g. H-1B visa) for this opportunity. Selected interns must reside within the continental U.S. for the duration of the summer internship. What You Can Expect: • The internship will occur between May 19, 2025 – August 1, 2025 • Due to the short duration of the summer program, it is an expectation that hired interns will be available for the duration of the summer internship with little to no disruption in work schedule. • Selected interns will work 38.75 hours/week. • Qualified and competitive candidates will be invited to participate in the interview process, with selected candidates progressing through two rounds of interviewing. • Pay: $28.00/hour.
