24-Hour Maintenance Assistant
Department: Our Island Home
Job Summary: The Town’s nursing facility, Our Island Home, seeks qualified candidates for the position of Maintenance Assistant. Representative duties include a variety of skilled work including but not limited to general building maintenance and facilities projects as directed by the Facilities Maintenance Manager. Excellent customer service and communication skills essential. Knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, as well as vehicle and small gas engine powered equipment preferred. Must hold a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain one prior to employment.
Requirements: High School Degree or equivalent; a minimum of one (1) year prior work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
