The role involves driving a 3.5 luton van, providing excellent customer service, and assisting with removal operations. Main Duties and Responsibilities Long distance driving and some nights away (when required) Removal of goods Heavy lifting Manual handling Carrying out packing, wrapping, dismantling and re-assembly of furniture regarding the household or office removal Loading and unloading all types of furniture and goods carefully, and delivering without causing damage To take responsibility and ensure that the van is kept tidy and clean To ensure that all paperwork is filled in by the customer and handed to the driver Desire to progress to a Class 2 HGV Driver (preferred) Qualifications Valid, clean driving license Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to lift and move heavy items Experience in the removals industry is a plus Knowledge of safe driving practices Experience/Skills Removals: 1 year (preferred, but not required as full training can be offered) Driving: 1 year (required) Driving a large Luton van (preferred) Be physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy and delicate furniture with care, often up or down flights of stairs Handyman skills (preferred) Good temperament and customer service skills Must be able to keep excellent time Must be able to work under pressure and within a team
