Academic Instructor (Part-Time / Flexible Hours)

We’re looking for knowledgeable, passionate instructors who can teach one or more academic subjects, prepare students for standardized exams, and uphold StevensED’s values of integrity, excellence, and lifelong learning. What You’ll Teach Instructors may specialize in one or more of the following areas: Standardized Test Prep • SAT, ACT Advanced Placement (AP®) Courses • Chemistry, Biology, Statistics, Calculus, Precalculus, Physics, English Language & Literature, English Literature & Composition, Music Theory, and more International Baccalaureate (IB®) Courses • French, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics (SL/HL), English (SL/HL), Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Extended Essay (EE), and other IB subjects Responsibilities • Deliver engaging, student-focused lessons in a one-on-one or small-group setting. • Use StevensED-provided instructional resources and licensed platforms • Follow StevensED’s teaching framework and participate in required trainings • Prepare lesson plans, assignments, and review materials • Track student progress and communicate effectively with students and parents • Maintain professionalism and uphold StevensED’s institutional values Qualifications Required: • High school diploma or equivalent (candidates without will not be considered) • Demonstrated mastery of one or more subjects listed above • Strong communication and organizational skills • Reliable, professional, and committed to student success Preferred: • Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in a related field • Prior teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience • Familiarity with AP®, IB®, SAT, and ACT frameworks Scheduling & Pay • Flexible, part-time position with hybrid and remote opportunities • Expected Hours: 2–15 hours per week (based on student enrollment and your availability) • No guaranteed minimum hours • Competitive pay based on experience, subject expertise, and lesson type Why Work with StevensED • Competitive Pay: Earn based on your qualifications and performance • Professional Development: Access exclusive training and teaching resources • Flexible Scheduling: Choose availability around school or other commitments • Meaningful Impact: Help students achieve academic success and gain confidence Job Types: Part-time, Contract Pay: From $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 2 – 15 per week Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job
