Responsibilities: Under the oversight and direction of Accounting management and the Senior Accountants, the Accountant is responsible for maintaining the general ledger and preparing supporting schedules/reconciliations. Responsibilities including, but not limited to: • Preparing all assigned journal entries in accordance with current financial standards and as required to accurately present financial activity in the general ledger. • Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing all relevant, assigned, schedules (financial analysis package) supporting the financial statements. • Reconciling all assigned general ledger accounts to supporting documentation and coordinating with the Senior Accountants in the research and remediation of any identified reconciliation variances. • Preparing interim and annual external audit deliverables pursuant to external auditor requests. • Identifying process inefficiencies, recommending efficient process alternatives, and collaborating in the implementation of such process improvements. • Performing relevant system User Acceptance Testing as needed. Education/Experience: • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required • 1 to 3 years of accounting experience preferred • Experience with PeopleSoft or similar ERP system preferred. • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
