Accounting Assistant, Newly Grad

Description: • This is a remote position. • In this role, the Jr Accounting Assistant provides vital support to our client by performing overall accounting duties through processing the available financial information in the cloud-based accounting systems of the client. • The Jr. Accounting Assistant ensures that the financial ledgers are up to date on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. • This may include, but is not limited to, processing of sales and purchase invoices, bank transactions, reclassification journals for revenue, recurring, accrual, and payroll entries. • Aside from that, the Jr. Accounting Assistant provides assistance to the Accounting SME with maintaining a clean and updated general ledger, including account reconciliations and resolving of discrepancies. • The Jr. Accounting Assistant also assists the Accounting SME and other team members where needed to accomplish the department goals, and to prepare ad-hoc reports to the management as needed. Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field of study • CPA certification is a strong plus • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Highly detail-oriented • Able to analyze financial records • Self-motivated and independent • Good time management skills; able to prioritize • Self-driven and proactive nature. • Highly driven and willingness to learn new tools and software. • A positive “Can Do” attitude. • Patient and active listener. • Passion for service.
