ArangoDB is looking for a student bookkeeper. You will be handling accounting and bookkeeping tasks; recording and maintaining financial transactions, producing financial statements, reconciling financial statements, and assisting tax declaration. You will be responsible for ensuring that financial records are accurate and up-to-date in our accounting systems; NetSuite and Tipalti. Location: Cologne, Germany. Hybrid. Work Hours: 15-20 hours per week, 3-5 days per week About the Role • Assist with day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping tasks with financial transactions • Process Vendor Bills internally for approval and record in the accounting systems (Netsuite/Tipalti) • Process and file Vendor Bills for manual payments in support of the Finance team • Verify, enter, and monitor various Customer Invoices and Vendor Bills • Communicate with internal and external vendors/contractors • Prepare and file financial documents (i.e., reconciliation, closing Journal, etc.) • Assist with tax declaration and audits • Accounts receivable collections (contact customers for payment in timely manner) • Other duties as assigned by the manager Your Skills & Requirements • 3-5 years of experience in accounting and audit • Advanced knowledge and experience in finance and accounting • Experience in Netsuite or other ERP systems • Experience in consolidating data from various entities • College-level education in accounting or economics is a plus • Specialized in International accounting or taxation is a plus • Fluent verbal and written communication in German and English Why Join ArangoDB Our headquarters is in San Francisco (US) and we have an office in Cologne (Germany), but most of our diverse team works remotely worldwide.
