The Accounting Manager provides both hands-on and leadership support for all accounting operations. This role ensures accuracy, integrity, and timely completion of financial records, supporting organizational goals and maintaining strong cross-functional relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
Oversee and review daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, banking, and payroll coordination
Validate and review data migration from POS and booking systems into the accounting system
Ensure proper coding, accurate entries, and account reconciliations in line with policy and accounting standards
Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, and internal management reports
Partner with leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Maintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard assets
Support the preparation of audit materials, tax filings, and respond to requests from auditors or regulatory partners
Manage accounting systems (e.g., Sage Intacct) and perform system reconciliations
Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
3–5 years of progressive experience in accounting; supervisory or lead experience preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting
Experience with accounting software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
