Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Worldwide campus is currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach SFTY 611 – Industrial Hygiene and Toxicology online at our Worldwide campus. Course Description Concepts in industrial hygiene and toxicology to prevent occupational illnesses. Recognizing, evaluating, and controlling occupational health hazards. Overview of federal and state laws and regulations. Please note that ERAU policy requires that all adjuncts be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including during training. Presently, we are able to support work for new adjuncts from all U.S. states except California . ERAU does not support work from international locations with some limited exceptions for individuals who are residing and working from U.S. military bases. If selected for this role, the candidate will be required to provide proof of stated qualifications. This includes, but is not limited to, official transcripts, copies of professional licenses/certifications, documentation of military experience, and/or verified professional industry related experience. Qualifications Applicant Qualifications Doctorate with a dissertation in teaching discipline, or a Doctorate degree with a dissertation within concentration that is in teaching discipline (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline). Appropriate Certification: Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) {American Board of Industrial Hygiene}, Certified Safety Processional (CSP) {Board of Certified Safety Professionals} Desired Professional Training or Experience: Current experience for applicants possessing valid degrees that are more than 7 years old. Degrees Within the Teaching Discipline: Occupational/Industrial Hygiene, Environmental/Occupational Health, Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Medicine, Safety (Industrial/Occupational/Management/Science), Health Hazards Related Discipline: Public Health, cognate or extensive experience in discipline. Engineering, cognate or extensive experience in discipline. Biochemistry/Chemistry/Biology, cognate or extensive experience in discipline. Education, cognate or extensive experience in discipline.
