Assessment Engineer - Industrial Systems (Remote with Travel)

Overview:
Join a growing engineering team that helps industrial clients optimize their compressed air systems for efficiency, reliability, and cost savings. This hands-on role blends fieldwork, data analysis, and technical design to identify performance improvements and present actionable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • ​Lead on-site assessments of industrial compressed air systems (supply and demand side).
  • Collect and analyze data on system performance, energy use, and reliability.
  • Identify and quantify opportunities for improvement and energy savings.
  • Prepare and present detailed assessment reports and technical recommendations.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop schematic designs and system improvements.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and provide excellent technical communication.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or an engineering-related role.
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics and industrial system performance.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings, and process flow diagrams.
  • Experience with compressed air systems preferred; automation or controls a plus.
  • Comfortable working in industrial environments and using tools/instrumentation.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • US Citizenship and valid driver’s license required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% (2–3 weeks/month).
